Google.Com An Internet Mogul | Official Website of Google Inc.

Google.com began in January 1996 as a research project by Larry Page and Sergey Brin when they were both PhD students at Stanford University in California. This Project was started with a set mind of searching the web so formerly this was to become a search engine (Internet Search Engine). Search engines ranked results by counting how many times the search terms appeared on the page, the two theorized about a better system that analyzed the relationships between websites. Websites with higher backlinks are resulted first as Larry and Brin invented a PR (PageRank) Checker which determines the Pagerank of a website and the websites with higher PR are preferred first by the search engine. Well, the Secret formula of calculating the exact PR is confidential by the Google Inc. Google Search is the most-used search engine on the World Wide Web (WWW), receiving several hundred million queries each day through its various services. Google Search provides at least 22 special features beyond the original word-search capability. These include synonyms, weather forecasts, time zones, stock quotes, maps, earthquake data, movie showtimes, airports, home listings, and sports scores. Google also acts like a Spider like it crawls, indexes each and every page of a website with a keywords matching to the queries made on the search engine.
